Doppelsticke

This bier is an imperialized take on a classic altbier. Pubs in Dusseldorf, where altbier gained its popularity, often had a secret or 'Sticke' altbier that was darker and stronger than the normal offering. This bier has intense notes of chocolate & sweet dough on the nose and followed by a medium-full mouth feel with tasting notes of chocolate babka, vanilla, & a light touch of coffee-roast. It has a long lasting, bittersweet, and 'fudgy' finish.
