Downey Brewing Company
We went back to our roots to brew a classic Irish red using Fuggle hops to make it a more traditional version. This beer is less hop focused and more zeroed in on the malt. It has the look of rich mohogany and a smooth taste of maltiness.
We brewed this American IPA with some awesome hops including Denali, Citra, and Mosaic. We dry hopped the shit out of it to give it a ton of flavor and aroma, but without the bitter kick.
Our Pilsner is made with the four noble hops, Hallertauer, Tettnang, Spalt, and Saaz. This beer was aged over toasted oak and brewed with German Pilsner malts. This is a classic style that is smooth and easy drinking.
We brewed a crisp refreshing wheat ale and then added raspberry juice after fermentation. This beer is smooth and sweet and we aren’t ashamed of brewing a fruit beer. We hope you enjoy drinking one.
This beer is pale but packs a wallop of coffee, chocolate, and vanilla flavors. This is a perfect example why you should not judge a book by its cover. Beer sponsored by Mitch Kujawa.
This is the recipe used in our very first batch. We went big and dark on this one. Copious amounts of roasted malts give a rich, bold, and unique beer with hints of chocolate, coffee, and dark fruits.
The brown-eyed daughter of one of our Dean’s List Member needed a beer to celebrate her earning her Master’s Degree. So we partnered with them to come up with our very first brown ale! Light malty taste with a nutty aroma which complements the hops at the back end.
Named in honor of a special lady, this witbier is brewed with orange zest and coriander seed Perfect for sipping on a warm day.
Easy on the goods, mate. This beer is rich and bold. It's got the roast and deep, complex flavors that you love in a Porter. The rum is always gone, but this one should quench your thirst in the meantime.
Our version of a Baltic Porter is full bodied and malty with hints of chocolate.
A Classic Bavarian style beer which at one time could only be brewed by royal families. Brewed with wheat, pilsner, and Munich malts giving it a balanced blend of malt sweetness with notes of clove and banana with a hint of hops.
IPA brewed with blood orange puree than hopped with Azacca hops. Nice summer beer.
Raspberry, oatmeal, chocolate stout, All of Dean’s favorite flavors made for his birthday.
Best of 3 Styles- 1/2 Pale Ale, 1/2 IPA and 1/2 Irish Red. Yep we pack a beer and a half of flavor in one pint.
Our summer favorite, it’s a kolsch flavored with peach that is perfect for a warm day.
Just as St. Patrick banished all the snakes from Ireland, we hope this beer will banish all the bad beer from Michigan. We used lots of roasted grains to give you bold, roasty, rich flavors. Sláinte!
